TV Azteca: 2016 will be the year of highest investment in our productions in the group’s history

In the aim to be at the forefront in international models, Benjamín Salinas, CEO of TV Azteca, announced the start of the group’s reinvention, highlighting the creation of Estudio Trece (13), under the general direction of Mauricio Majul and Estudio Siete (7), directed by Rodrigo Fernández.“The sum of our voices will make TV Azteca be heard louder and farther; everyone must know that we are competitive and successful”, commented the director, who emphasizes the creation of these Estudios (previously Azteca 13 and Azteca 7) as a model that will enable the arrival of the best content in open broadcast TV, and at the same time guarantee the financial efficiency of the company.Through a press release, Salinas mentioned that they will start their own productions, independent and co-produced, turning 2016 into the year of the biggest investment in new production in the history of TV Azteca, as well as a record year that is also aimed at recovery in the entire programming.Mauricio Majul, now general director of Estudio Trece, has formed part of the company for more than 18 years in different areas. The most recent was the General Direction of National Sales at Azteca and as director of Blockbuster, company acquired in 2013 by Grupo Elektra.Rodrigo Fernández has vast experience as general director of Azteca Trece and Azteca Siete.
